Health Science Program - SCS

Carolyn Beam, Norfolk General Hospital’s Education Coordinator and Brian Snow, faculty at Simcoe Composite School will be educating you on the Health Science Program offered at Simcoe Composite School in partnership with Norfolk General Hospital. The program, a unique blend of classroom work, case studies and hands on experience introduces students to the many careers available in healthcare. The students work with physicians, nurses, physios, lab techs (etc) and even tour the hospital plant to understand the support service side of healthcare. Find out how this program has influenced students in healthcare career choices and even those who may have returned to Norfolk. One other tidbit. One of our club members was a student in the inaugural year of the program and one of our members has been part of the NGH team since the inception of the program.
