Emma Humble has reached an important life milestone.
 
“I’m learning how to read chapter books,” the Simcoe second grader said proudly from inside the library at Elgin Avenue Public School.
 
Since it began in fall 2013, the Literacy for Littles program run by Big Brothers Big Sisters Grand Erie – with support from the Rotary Club of Norfolk Sunrise and the Ontario Trillium Foundation – has matched 16 students in senior kindergarten or Grade 1 with adult mentors at Elgin Avenue, Bloomsburg, Delhi and Teeterville public schools,  See full story in Norfolk News @ http://www.norfolknews.ca/news-story/5553932-reading-buddies/
