FROM OUR WELSHPOOL ROTARY CLUB FRIENDS...
We had a surprise visit at yesterday's (July 19, 2017) Lunch meeting. Phil and Paula Race called in slightly late for a bite of lunch but we gave them a warm welcome. Phil, as you know, is a member of Brantford Sunrise Rotary Club and the son of a good friend of Welshpool Rotary John Race.
They were passing through on their way to Liverpool to enjoy the Open Golf at Royal Birkdale. It was wonderful meeting them and new President Bill Rowell extended the hand of friendship. Phil was keen to learn of our friendship exchange in September 2018 and hopes to meet up again with us on that occasion.
