“We all are!”, said George Scott of Niagara Beeway at a recent Norfolk Sunrise meeting. The culprit is chemistry – in particular neonicotinoids which in minute concentrations are deadly to bees affecting their neurological systems. Unfortunately neonnicotinoids are a common ingrediant in many agricultural and consumer products including commonly used pesticides and pet care products. In fact a recent study showed in that domestic use of the products exceeds the agricultural use by a factor of 3. He urges all consumers to be aware of the hazard these products present and act accordingly. For more visit the Niagara Beeway website at www.niagarabeeway.com
