Like any volunteer organization, Norfolk Sunrise's success is dependant upon the dedication and effort of its members. Under the general direction of the Club's Board of Directors, the Clubs work is carried out through 6 standing committees, project/event committees, and the efforts of individual Rotarians who "champion" service projects or take on special roles supporting Club Operations.

Club Officers (the Executive)

The Club Executive is responsible for the overall management of the Rotary Club Norfolk Sunrise and the club's charitable foundation, the Rotary Club of Norfolk Sunrise Fund.    The Club Executive includes the President, Secretary, Treasurer, and President Elect. Ways and Means Committee

The Ways and Means (W&M) Committee is responsible for all fund raising activities related to the work of the Rotary Foundation & World Community Services, the Community Concerns & Environment and the Youth & Exchange Committees. For more information click on the "Ways and Means" button

Rotary Foundation and World Community Services

Community Concerns and Environment Committee

Youth & Exchange Committee

Club Services Committee

Public Relations and Communications Committee

Membership and Vocational Services Committee

The Membership and Vocational Services (M&VS) Committee is responsible for all club membership recruitment and retention activities, and for promoting vocation as an avenue of service.  For more information click on the "Membership" button

Finance Committee

Under the direction of the Treasurer, the Finance Committee manages the financial resources and commitments of both the Rotary Club of Norfolk Sunrise and the Club's charitable foundation (The Rotary Club of Norfolk Sunrise Fund)

Abuse, Neglect, and Harassment Protocol Councillor

The Councillor is responsible for training members and dealing with any concerns related to the club's Abuse, Neglect and Harassment Protocol aimed at protecting the health and welfare of members, non-Rotarian Volunteers, and participants in Rotary Programs.  Alexis Kinnear is the club's Abuse, Neglect, and Harassment Protocol Councillor

Club Historian/Archivist

The Historian/Archivist is responsible for collecting, organizing and maintaining documents, artefacts and other material important to the history of the club. John Wallace is the club Historian/Archivist.

Sick and Visiting Officer

The Club Services committee carries out the the "sick and visiting" role

Paul Harris Fellows

The current Past President chairs a committee of Past Presidents responsible for Paul Harris Fellowships awarded by the Club.
