Membership And Vocational Services Committee
The Membership and Vocational Services (M&VS) Committee is responsible for all club membership recruitment and retention activities, and for promoting vocation as an avenue of service.
The M&VS Committee develops membership plans (including annual goals, targets and strategies for membership recruitment and retention), maintains an updated list of vocations and prospective classifications in the Norfolk area; reviews, where necessary, existing classifications represented in the club and seeks to fill vacant classifications; and confers with the Board on all classification problems. The Committee presents the names of suitable persons to fill unfilled classifications and considers all proposals for membership. The M&VS Committee devises and carries out plans to give prospective members information about the privileges and responsibilities of membership in a Rotary club; to give the members, especially the new members, adequate understanding of the privileges and responsibilities of members, information about Rotary, its history, objects, scope activities, and information as to developments in the administrative operation of Rotary International.
