Simcoe's Special Olympics Program
Feb. 05, 2019
Shirley Shaw worked in Corrections at Sprucedale for 25 years. She got involved in Special Olympics 19 years ago. She started with 10 swimmers, herself and a niece as coaches. Today the team has 40 swimmers and 10 coaches. Shirley also helped to introduce floor hockey to Simcoe. Shirley feels blessed to have people around that have the same passion as she does. She describes our community as one of the best for support. C'mon out and meet Shirley, coaches and athletes from Simcoe's Special Olympics team! |
