TRAVEL TO WALES
DURING YOUR MARCH BREAK
Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Norfolk-Sunrise and the Rotary Club of Welshpool
NOW IS THE TIME TO DECIDE
For the past sixteen years, the two Rotary Clubs have worked
together with their local high schools to provide students an
opportunity to exchange cultural and historical experiences and
make new, lasting friendships.
Students from Welshpool, Wales travel to Norfolk County in
October and stay with Norfolk students; then Norfolk students travel
to Wales and stay with their new Welsh friends during March Break.
DEADLINE for Applications
May 31, 2014
There are 6 spaces available each year so please apply before the deadline
Should be 16-18 at the time of travel in March
Must attend (or be eligible to attend) a high school in Norfolk County
Trip is approximately 10 days with travel to and from Wales
Approximate cost is $1,000 - $1,300 for flight and travel between the airport
Alll other expenses (meals, accommodation, entry to events and travel) are
paid for by the Rotary Club during the visit in Wales
Your family will be asked to host a Welsh student in October; although it is not
mandatory, reciprocal hosting ensures a
‘whole experience’ for each student
and allows him or her to get to know each other better
