Rick and Tia Taylor provided a very interesting presentation this morning about how a nylon screen mesh is used to harvest drinking water in areas where wells and other conventional water sources are unavailable or polluted. Most installations to date are in South America or Africa. This is a reliable and inexpensive technology - but the demand far outstrips the resources available.

Rick has been a volunteer with FogQuest for 16 years, having travelled to several countries to install and maintain the systems. They are seeking relationships with universities and corporations to provide technical, administrative, and financial assistance to sustain the far-reaching programs around the world.

There are Rotary connections with FogQuest. Rick Taylor is an Honorary Rotarian, and Tia is President-Elect of the Rotary Club of Fonthill. As a local connection, Rotarian Don Emerson has been involved with FogQuest for several years.
