Julie Powell (left in photo) is Director of Development at Norfolk General Hospital and responsible for the Hospital Foundation’s goal to raise over $1 million annually.  With her husband and 4-year old son, Julie currently lives in Brantford but is likely to relocate to Port Dover where she grew up.  Her parents both have worked all their lives in the fishing industry. Aside from home and garden renovation, Julie’s new hobby is running and she expects to run a half-marathon in 2014. Look out Boston!

Andy Kooistra is “coy” about his name, and sometimes goes by Rusty. He grew up on a farm near Cornwall, but has worked in the construction industry virtually all his life until his recent retirement. Now living in the Waterford area, over the past 25 years Andy has operated his own family business, Anders Contracting, and while building the section of rail trail in Waterford Andy rubbed shoulders with some members of the Rotary Club of Norfolk Sunrise. Hence, Andy is now one of us.  Andy and wife Alide have one daughter, with a granddaughter, and one son.  You might find Andy in the curling rink when not at Rotary.

Kim Scoyne grew up near Ridgetown. When her husband had the opportunity 14 years ago to transfer to Tillsonburg as an OPP Forensics Officer the family, which includes 3 sons, made the move to Simcoe. Kim continued to work as an activities director for the elderly and handicapped, but now spends much of her time as a volunteer with the Simcoe Caring Cupboard and is Chair of their Board.
