RCNS Supports Community Addiction and Mental Health Services (CAMHS)
In collaboration with the Norfolk Library, CAMHS is conducting a summer Poster Contest to help with the prevention of, and raise the awareness related to suicide in our community - see the poster below. RCNS is pleased (along with the Rotaract group!) to act as a sponsor for this worthwhile children's program.
Many RCNS members will recall the visit in January 2016 by Susan Roach a Director at CAMHS. You'll remember that hers was a most interesting, yet difficult, story to hear; even if learning about suicide prevention isn't the most pleasing way to start your day? Since then, the Comm Services Cttee has explored the idea further and has now made a modest donation to CAMHS so as to help them with their awareness and prevention initiatives. Note that all posters will be available for viewing on 10 Sept, during the 'Igniting Hope' suicide prevention event hosted by CAMHS at the Simcoe Fairgrounds.
Rotary Skill Testing Game - name the present, and immediate past, Board Chair of the CAMHS Board of Directors. Ross Gowan and Sue O'Dwyer are not eligible to play. blush
