We Lost a Scottish Friend

Many Club members met Matt Murdoch, the Captain of the 2012 Scotland to Canada Rotary Curling Team during the team’s visit to Simcoe in November 2012.  Matt died of a heart attack last Tuesday just 12 days after his son David skipped Great Britain’s Olympic Curling to a Silver medal in Sochi.  Matt was a dedicated Rotarian, a great friend to many of us in Simcoe, and an outstanding curler (three times Scottish champion ).  Click here to see the Scotland Herald tribute to our friend Matt.
