On Tuesday morning, 14 Sept, at 7:30 am, and via Zoom link, we will be joined by Anne Bermingham, our District 7090 Governor.
Anne will gather us together with several other local clubs to discuss issues of current importance to the District.
For a message text and/or video glimpse into the topics she may want to cover, please go to the 'Read more...' tab below.

Dear Jim Simpson,

We are working so hard to reduce emails while increasing communication in our Rotary District 7090.  So I have bundled some messages for you here.  You can watch the video (video link shown at the bottom of this note) or just the read the content below.  Different mediums for different preferences.

1) Job Fair to hear more about district committees and tasks you can take on - if interested - beyond your club.  See flyer attached.  Tuesday August 31 5:45 p.m. start time.  We know we could use your talents.  Please consider checking it out.  Registration for job fair using this link:

2) Rotary Leadership Institute is starting back up this fall.  As requested by you, it is staying virtual.  Great way to learn more about Rotary and enhance your leadership skills.  Everyone who takes part comes away saying they have learned so much.  Be sure to check it out if you are interested in taking part.   Check out link or contact Glen Christensen from Brantford Sunrise - his email is bonglenchristensen@gmail.com and mobile is 519-302-0060.  Link is

3) Rotary 7090 Webtalk is back as well (first brought to us by Past District Governor Bob Artis).  Learn what other clubs in our district are doing... no need to keep "reinventing the wheel".  These take place 2nd Tuesday of every month.  Next one is September 14 (Tuesday) from 7 pm to 8 pm.  The focus is on how to host an amazing VIP (Virtual and In-Person) Rotary meeting.  We will be sharing what clubs have figured out - from technology to meeting format.  Of course, no cost.  Please consider registering.

4) Pedal for Polio / Participate for Polio  - October 2, 2021.  Immediate Past District Governor Frank Adamson brought us this event and it is here to stay.  This year, you can cycle with fellow Rotarians on two bike routes - one on US side of border and one on Canadian side of border.  We are also encouraging clubs to organize their own bike or walk.  Join with a few other clubs in your area.  Invite non-Rotarians to support us and join us.  Share the news of what we are doing to eliminate polio from the face of the earth.

5) 7090 District Conference - Oct 21-23, 2021 - there will be something for everyone so please save the date.

On Thursday October 21 - we are having an evening celebration of clubs and some dynamite speakers / interactive sessions.

On Friday October 22, we are encouraging clubs in each area to come together for a service project in the mid to late afternoon followed by evening social.  We want these to be taking place all over the district.  More details on this coming to your Presidents and Assistant Governors very shortly.

On Saturday October 23 - we will have an in-person conference in my hometown of Hamilton Ontario.  Times to be finalized but something like 9:30 to 3:30 p.m.  We are hoping many will join us in person.  For those who can't - we are working on two options for that day - more service projects taking place in areas that found Friday option inconvenient.  Also some streaming of main conference (we hope).

For now just save the dates.  There are over 1900 Rotarians in our district.  We want you to take part so we get to know more about you and your club.  Please consider attending some part of the conference as we come together and serve to change lives!
