On Tuesday morning, 17 Oct 2023 and on our collective behalves, David Douglas welcomed Dr Joyce Lock, acting Medical Officer of Health for the Haldimand/Norfolk Health and Social Services group as our Guest Speaker. At our not-so-hybrid session, she spoke to us about “Health Promotion - What does it mean for the Rotary Club? In a very well-prepared presentation Dr Lock discussed her work in the County(s). noting the benefit(s) of being healthy in our lives as well as our responsibilities for supporting those who keep our health care system working. It was an excellent overview of the challenges before us as well as her ideas for mitigating down-side health effects.
Following questions as time permitted, Paul Zorad offered our appreciation for her work in the County as well as her most-informative briefing. President John added his own gratitude and reflections to round off the morning.
