On Tuesday 25 Feb, and on our collectives behalves, Paul Zorad welcomed Melissa Rowbottom, an Academic Advisor representing the Norfolk Regional Campus of Fanshaw College as our Guest Speaker. At our hybrid (ie live attendance at R83 with zoom remote attendance) session, she spoke to us about issues related to Fanshaw in our community. With the support of a slide presentation, she provided an excellent overview of the Simcoe campus, the Fanshaw academic programs and a variety of their available support services.
Clearly piquing the interest of our members, Melissa fielded many questions concerning the college in our community. In concluding the event, Pam Shantz offered Melissa our sincere appreciation for increasing our awareness of such an important community institution & service. Melissa was then presented with a certificate of appreciation acknowledging a woman whose sight had been restored as a part of our RCNS work with, and support of, Operation Eyesight.
