Jun. 01, 2015 - Jun. 30, 2015
June is designated Rotary Fellowships Month to recognize the importance of international fellowship and goodwill among Rotarians with similar recreational and vocational interests, promote increased participation in fellowships, and increase understanding of this program. The RI Board encourages these groups to celebrate Rotary Fellowships Month through projects, activities, and events. (RCP42.010.9.). MOP 2013.
Groups encourage members to pursue interests with Rotary Rotary Fellowships empower their members to pursue their passions and connect with new friends in Rotary from all over the world. They unite members who share a particular vocation or have mutual interests in the same field. While most Rotarians join fellowships to connect with their international professional counterparts, to find an outlet for hobbies, and to meet new friends, the unique service opportunities these groups offer keep their members especially active and engaged in Rotary:
Consider joining one of our 64 fellowships, or form a new group if your vocation isn’t represented by a fellowship. Rotarians, their spouses, and Rotaractors are eligible to join |

Our garden on the Sunrise Trail at the Queensway is looking a bit overgrown so we are going to have a weed pulling contest on Sat July 25 9-11am. Please bring gloves and hoes, shovels etc. We will have some mulch to spread once the weeds are out. Great practice for those needing to upgrade their gardening skills! |

Sixty-seven million children worldwide have no access to education and more than 775 million people over the age of 15 are illiterate. Our goal is to strengthen the capacity of communities to support basic education and literacy, reduce gender disparity in education, and increase adult literacy. Rotarians are encouraged to raise awareness of literacy issues and to organize literacy projects at home and abroad. |

Nearly 1.4 billion employed people live on less than $1.25 a day. We carry out service projects that enhance economic and community development and develop opportunities for decent and productive work for young and old. We also help strengthen local entrepreneurs and community leaders, particularly women, in impoverished communities. |
